The Barn is a Evangelical youth event held on the 3rd Saturday of each month during the months September – May. It is held in the Lifeboat Mission Hall at Grange Corner, Moy – Just a couple of minutes from the centre of Dungannon.
To bring young people in contact with God and to see Him change their lives for His glory. Our hearts desire is for God to save, challenge his people to live their lives for Him and to see this generation lift up His name.
The Barn commenced in the summer of 2006 when a few people felt God putting it on their hearts to have a place for young people to meet together to enjoy singing, to listen to what God is doing in each others lives and hear from God’s word.
We started that September in an old converted Barn on the site of the Lifeboat Mission at Grange Corner. Over the next 2 years we had many great nights there as God came and spoke to us. In the summer of 2008 we decided to move the meeting down to the church complex to give us more room and better facilities to cater for the people coming along. This has really helped us have more flexibility and we have seen the work expand as a result.
One of the best things about The Barn is the prayer breakfast. It’s hard to explain if you have never been but it’s a real blessed time as we just pour out our hearts to God for the evening meeting asking God to come and do great things. This time is really special as we intercede together.
To Him be all the praise for it is Gods work and His is the glory alone. Every good thing coming from God above!
We’re all really excited about the new season, believing that God is going to do even greater things this year. We really want to reach out to the young people of the local area who don’t have any contacts with Christians, who have never heard the gospel, who need Jesus. We want to reap a harvest of young people for Christ.
