Our Vision is to bring young people in contact with God

and to see Him change their lives for His glory.

Our hearts desire is for God to save, challenge his people to live their lives for Him and to see this generation lift up His name!

About

The Barn is a Evangelical youth event held on the 3rd Saturday of each month during the months September – June.  It is held in The Lifeboat Fellowship at Grange Corner, Moy – Just a couple of minutes from the centre of Dungannon - Find Us.

We meet in a very relaxed atmosphere, the hall is full of old sofas to give it that ‘old barn’ effect and is ususally lit with fairy lights, candles, etc…

The format of the meeting is quite simple, the night is started with Praise and Worship led by The Barn Band, followed by a Testimony of how God has worked in someone’s life, we then have a bit of a break for 20 minutes or so where we have hot food, tea, coffee and soft drinks, all free of charge. We hope you’ll use this time to get to know us and meet new people. Then the speaker will come with a message relevant to young people, ususally lasts about 25 – 35 minutes.

History

The Barn commenced in the summer of 2006 when a few people felt God putting it on their hearts to have a place for young people to meet together to enjoy singing, to listen to what God is doing in each others lives and hear from God’s word.

We started that September in an old converted Barn on the site of The Lifeboat Fellowship at Grange Corner. Over the next 2 years we had many great nights there as God came and spoke to us.  In the summer of 2008 we decided to move the meeting down to the church complex to give us more room and better facilities to cater for the people coming along.

Around 2010/2011 the original generation of The Barn began to move on and saw numbers declining, so in 2012 a new team took charge of The Barn, and we saw God work in amazing ways, and rewarded us with a crowd of 100 young people on the first night! We’ve had many a great night since then at The Barn, but the best nights have to be the nights of Prayer. This is the foundation of The Barn and is where God moves and works. We ususally try to meet once a week to pray for the work.

In this new season (2013/2014) we really want to reach young people in our local area who have never heard the good news of Jesus and how he died and we are beliving that God would move in Young Peoples’ lives and save them from their sin for His Glory!
